New residential construction within Tigard has remained constant over the previous 12 years.
New dwelling units are shown by table 2-4 within town getting a certificate-of-occupancy (CofO) permit from the Building Division. Single family domiciles, which linked and include free position, dropped to a low of 187 in 2002 and struck a high of 335 models in 1995.
The quantity created went above 300 in 2005 for initially since 1996. The totals include fire protection systems, alterations, upgrades, basis work, new construction, and other miscellaneous work.
While it hit a reduced in 1998, residential building worth peaked in 1996 and 2001. The final three years have now been steady at around $80 million per year. Professional appraisal peaked in 2,000 and struck a low in 2002. Last year saw the second greatest valuation in the 12 year period at around $60 million. The only real year to see industrial worth greater than residential was 1998.
Total housing units in the City of Tigard totaled 19,415 at the end of April 2006. This total includes single and multi-family units. The age of the housing units in the neighborhood is distributed rather equally. The decades of the 1970's, 1980's, and 1990's all account fully for very nearly one quarter of housing units.
